Are you just getting started using social media? Have you noticed various social media icons on our new web site? What are they about, you wonder?

• The Twitter, Facebook and RSS icons in our Web site footer encourage you to click on them to visit the TLC’s Twitter or Facebook pages, or subscribe to an RSS feed of this blog window’s contents. If you subscribe to other RSS feeds, using a tool like Google Reader or Outlook, you can click on our RSS icon to add the TLC’s news blog to your subscriptions!
• By clicking the Share link below any blog post (this window), a list of social media options of your own appear so that you can choose where to “share” the blog post. For example, if you like the blog post, click Share and then choose where you want to share it, to your Twitter account, your Facebook page, or other social media accounts you own?
• If you’d like to post a Comment to any of the blog posts (this window) or pages on our site where we are seeking input, click on the Comments link. To reduce spamming, you will be asked to authenticate yourself. You can choose to do that by selecting Guest and typing in your name and email address, or you can choose one of your existing social media accounts to authenticate yourself  more quickly (e.g., your own Twitter, Facebook, Google account login).
